Passes & darshan
How do I buy a darshan pass?
Open a mandal, tap Buy Darshan Pass, pick the tier and the number of people, and pay. Your QR appears instantly under Bookings.
How does the darshan pass work?
A pass is valid at one mandal for the two-hour window shown on it. Show the QR at the priority lane, a volunteer scans it, and you walk in. One scan per pass — used and duplicate codes are rejected at the gate.
Where do I find my QR after paying?
Open the app and go to Bookings. Every live pass sits at the top with its QR and the time it expires. You do not need the confirmation email or SMS — the app is the pass.
Do I need internet at the gate?
It helps but it is not essential. Open your booking once while you still have signal and the QR stays on screen. Volunteers scan from your screen, so a weak network in a crowded lane will not stop you getting in.
What if I do not use my pass?
A pass is valid for its two-hour window only. Passes that expire unused are not refunded, because the slot was held for you. If a mandal closed its lane or an aarti overran and you could not enter, contact us — those we look at case by case.
Payments & refunds
Does LineSe charge me anything?
No. The app is free to download and free to use, and LineSe takes no commission. When you buy a darshan pass, the price is set by the mandal and the payment gateway sends the money straight to that mandal — it never passes through us. This is a pilot for Ganeshotsav 2026; we are not making money from it.
Which payment methods work?
UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm and others), credit and debit cards including RuPay, and net banking from all major banks. The payment gateway handles it on the mandal’s behalf — LineSe never sees or stores your card details.
A payment failed, or I was charged twice — what now?
Do not pay again. Failed payments are reversed by your bank, usually within a few working days. If no pass has appeared under Bookings within a few minutes, or you were charged twice, email us the amount, the time and the UPI or bank reference. Because the money goes to the mandal through the gateway rather than to us, the refund comes from there — but we will trace it and chase it for you.
At the mandal
How accurate are the wait times?
They are estimates, not guarantees. Every wait time is measured from a live camera feed that the mandal provides of its own darshan queue — LineSe reads the length of the line from that footage. Nobody types the numbers in by hand, so they move as the queue moves. Crowds still surge and lanes get held for an aarti, so treat the number as a good guide rather than a promise.
Where exactly do the wait times come from?
From the mandal’s own cameras, and nothing else. Each participating mandal streams a live view of its darshan queue; our system estimates how many people are in that line and turns it into minutes. There is no crowdsourcing, no manual entry and no guessing from last year — if a mandal’s feed drops, its wait time is marked unavailable rather than invented.
Is LineSe the mandal?
No. LineSe is a technology platform — we build the app. Every mandal listed is an independent organiser that runs its own darshan, sets its own timings, and decides who enters its lanes. For Ganeshotsav 2026 we work with participating mandals as their technology partner for the festival, nothing more. When you book a pass you are booking that mandal’s darshan through our software, and anything about the darshan itself is the mandal’s call.
Who decides pass prices and what is on offer?
The mandal, entirely. Each mandal decides which services to offer — darshan passes, tiers, prasad, souvenirs, or none of them — and what each one costs. LineSe does not set, approve or influence any price, and takes no cut of it. We show you what the mandal has chosen to list, at the price it has set. If a price or an offering looks wrong, the mandal is the one who can change it.
Do I need the app to enter?
No. Every mandal keeps its ordinary queue open and free. LineSe adds a priority lane for people who booked a pass — it does not replace the darshan anyone can walk up and join.
What are the visiting hours?
Each mandal sets its own darshan and aarti timings, and they change during the festival. The current timings for every listed mandal are on its page in the app, along with any announcement the committee has posted.
Is photography allowed?
That is the mandal’s call, not ours. Most welcome photographs in the outer areas and ask people not to stop in the darshan lane. Follow the volunteers’ instructions — they are managing a moving crowd.
Your account & the app
Which languages does the app support?
English, हिंदी and मराठी. Switch at any time from More › Settings › Language; your choice is remembered on that device.
Can I turn off notifications?
Yes, and you can be selective. More › Settings › Notifications has a master switch plus separate toggles for wait-time nudges, booking and pass updates, and festival announcements. Announcements are off unless you turn them on.
The animations make me uncomfortable — can I stop them?
Turn on Reduce motion in Settings. It stops the pulsing dots and the map animation. This website honours your device’s reduced-motion setting automatically.
Do I need an account to use the app?
Yes. Signing in is required before you can see wait times, open a mandal page, plan a route or book a pass. It takes one step: enter your mobile number and the one-time password we text you. No password to remember, and no email or social login to set up.
Do the mandal cameras record me?
The camera belongs to the mandal, not to LineSe, and it points at the mandal’s own queue. We read the live feed only to work out how long that line is, and what comes out of it is a number. The footage is not stored anywhere, no faces are recognised or matched, and nothing from a feed reaches your account or your bookings. The feed is read for object movement and footfall count — that is all it is used for. Standing in a public darshan queue puts you in the mandal’s camera view as it always has; that recording, and the notice about it, are the mandal’s responsibility under its own policy.
How do I delete my account?
Use More › Settings › Delete account in the app, or the account deletion page if you have lost access to your number.
