Draft — not yet reviewed by a lawyer. This page was written from how the LineSe app actually behaves, but it has not been checked against the DPDP Act 2023, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules or your payment processor’s terms. LineSe is operated by Blupaani Ventures Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

What we collect

  • Mobile number — an account is required to use LineSe and this is the only way in. You sign in with a one-time password sent to your number by SMS; we hold the number, never the password.
  • Name and email address — the name goes on your passes; the email receives booking confirmations and receipts.
  • Location, only while the app is open and only with your permission, to place you on the map and order your route. Decline it and everything else still works.
  • Bookings — the mandal, the pass type and the check-in time.
  • Payment records — amount, time, status and the reference our payment partner returns. Card numbers, UPI PINs and bank credentials never reach LineSe.
  • Device basics — device model, OS and app version, language, and crash reports.

What we do not collect

No contacts, photos, microphone, background location or advertising identifiers. We do not sell personal data and we do not run ads.

Cameras and wait times

Wait times are measured from a live camera feed that each participating mandal provides of its own darshan queue. The camera belongs to the mandal, not to LineSe. Our system reads the feed only to estimate how many people are in the line; what leaves that process is a number. The footage is not stored anywhere. Faces are not recognised or matched. The feed is read for object movement and footfall count — that is all it is used for, and nothing from it reaches your account or your bookings.

Standing in a public darshan queue puts you in that mandal’s camera view as it always has. That recording, how long it is kept and the signage about it are the mandal’s responsibility under its own policy, and questions about it should go to the mandal.

Why we hold it

To sign you in, issue and verify passes, take and refund payment, send booking and expiry notifications you have opted into, show wait times and plan routes, and keep the financial records a registered company must keep.

Who else sees it

The mandal you booked with sees that booking — the name on the pass, the pass type and the check-in, nothing more. Our payment gateway, SMS provider and hosting provider each process only what their job requires, under contract. We disclose data to authorities only where the law requires it. That is the complete list; we never share it with advertisers or with other mandals.

How long we keep it

Your account and bookings stay while your account is open. Delete the account and personal details are removed within 30 days. Transaction records are kept for 8 financial years to meet tax and accounting obligations, held separately from your profile.

Your rights

You can view and correct your profile in the app. You can also ask us for a copy of what we hold, to correct it, or to delete it — email support@linese.co.in or use the account deletion page. We respond within 30 days.

Children

LineSe is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly create accounts for them.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and internal access is limited to the people who need it. If a breach ever affected you, we would tell you and the regulator.

Changes

Material changes are notified in the app before they take effect, and the date above changes.
